Order of the Secret Monitor

The origins of the Order are believed to have originated in the Netherlands and was taken to the New World circa 1658 by Dutch Settlers. The Grand Council was consistuted on 17 June 1887 with Dr. Issachar Zacharie nominated as the first Grand Supreme Ruler with the inaugural meeting held on 15 July of that year. A history by Wy.Bro. Brain C Wright, BSc was published in 2012 to mark the 125 years of the Order.

Province of West Yorkshire

The Province of West Yorkshire was constituted by M.Wy. Bro. Col. G.S.H. Dicker, CBE; TD;DL Grand Supreme Ruler on Friday 31st March 1995 following the partitioning of the Province of Yorkshire. R.Wy. Bro. Maurice Bendig JP previously PrGSR for Yorkshire since 1982 was installed as the first ProvGSR. To mark the first 20 years of the Province the then PrGSR R.Wy. Bro.
